BoxPilot is an offline educational iPhone app for defining a visible box, setting closing confirmations and risk, freezing a plan, advancing bars and reviewing simulated execution. Start with New Box Plan, choose a neutral-titled synthetic scene and inspect the visible range. The Definition execution guide explains OHLC and shows why a high alone is not a closing breakout.
A box needs at least five visible bars, must include all selected highs and lows and must be frozen while the current close is at or below its upper boundary. Confirmation uses one to three consecutive closes above that boundary. An entry intention waits for the next tradable open; quantity is recalculated from that fill and available cash. Playback pauses at signals, fills, rejections and exits. Leaving the page or putting the app in the background pauses playback. A box receives only one entry attempt; create a new version for a fresh attempt.
Check the original box, risk percentage, opening fill, fee rate, slippage and quantity step in the execution audit. Prices may gap, initial stops can trigger on the entry bar and fees reduce cash. An opening fill at or below the initial stop is rejected. Explicit zero volume postpones execution. A lower protective stop is rejected. Read the reason on the ticket rather than deleting or editing the historical record. Simulated losses can occur while every rule is followed.
Use UTF-8 CSV with header timestamp, open, high, low, close, volume; the whole volume column may be omitted or individual volume values left blank. Use one timestamp style per file: YYYY-MM-DD or ISO8601 with an explicit time-zone offset. Times must be unique and ascending, prices positive and tick-aligned, low no higher than open/close and high no lower than open/close. The limit is 10 MB and 10,000 bars. Preview and confirm the alias, tick, quantity step and period before saving. A new training plan needs at least 60 bars with 30 initially visible and 20 still hidden. Smaller valid files can still be inspected.
Preferences includes export, restore and clear-user-data controls. Exported BoxPilot backups use boxplan-v2 schema 2 and are limited to 50 MB. Other apps’ backups are rejected. Active plans contain only visible bars and import as read-only snapshots; they cannot resume the original blind session. Conflicting IDs can be kept locally, or you can export and clear existing data before restoring. Referenced imported datasets cannot be deleted while a plan uses them. Clearing user data requires two confirmations and leaves built-in teaching content intact. Uninstalling removes local app records; back up first.
Use system text-size settings, the visible price-data table, numeric boundary controls and chart navigation buttons instead of gestures. Preferences controls light/dark appearance and candle colors; candle fill also indicates direction. Core learning and simulation work without a network. Public agreement pages need HTTPS access; if loading fails, retry or choose Read Bundled Offline Copy. No camera, microphone, location or tracking permission is required in this version.
Contact boxpilot@support.com. Include BoxPilot version 1.0.0, your iPhone model, iOS version, the screen or action involved, the exact error text and steps to reproduce. Avoid sending personal financial records, full private CSV files or sensitive notes. Send only a minimal non-sensitive example when necessary. Do not send passwords or account credentials. There is no remote BoxPilot account or server copy of your local plans for support to retrieve. This release has no purchases or subscriptions to restore.
BoxPilot does not provide trading recommendations or execute real trades. Built-in examples are synthetic, and simulated returns do not forecast actual performance. Support addresses app operation, not investment decisions. Read the Privacy Policy for local storage, exports and Cloudflare page hosting, and the Terms of Use for simulation limitations. Contact information and response availability should be verified by the operator before App Store submission.
